NA VICE SPEAKER SAMVEL BALASANYAN RECEIVES THE AMBASSADOR OF GEORGIA TO ARMENIA

On May 3 the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Samvel Balasanyan
received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia
to Armenia Tengiz Sharmanashvili. At the meeting issues concerning
the works of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and
the Georgian Parliament.
The Georgian Ambassador said that during the meetings with RA
President Serzh Sargsyan and the Speaker of the National Assembly
Hovik Abrahamyan from the view of activation of inter-parliamentary
relations the need of resuming and activating the works of that
committee had been highlighted after lasting interval.
The Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Samvel Balasanyan, who is
the co-chairman of that committee, said that in the nearest future he
would visit Georgia to take part in the international forum, where
together with newly elected Georgian co-chairman of the committee
they would discuss and specify the further works of the committee to
be done. He expressed conviction that the further strengthening and
development of the Armenian-Georgian inter-parliamentary relations
emanates from the interests of the two friendly countries.
The interlocutors discussed other issues of mutual interest, too.
