US ambassador to Azerbaijan: `Robert Bradtke informed me about the
progress in the negotiation process'

Dashkasan. Habil Suleymanov - APA. Within the visit to Azerbaijani
regions, US ambassador Matthew Bryza has arrived today in Dashkasan.
APA correspondent who covers Bryza's visit, reports that the
ambassador familiarized himself with activity of Peace Corps in
Dashkasan, met with the head of the regions' executive power Ahad
Abiyev. Abiyev said that Bryza was competent diplomat and good
attitude of Azerbaijani people to him. The ambassador was informed
about the Dahkasan's socio-economic development and the state of local
mining industry. Then the ambassador visited Heydar Aliyev Museum.
Bryza told journalists that nature views on Azerbaijani regions impressed him.
Speaking about the negotiation process on the settlement of Nagorno
Karabakh conflict, he said that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs
continue their efforts towards the elaboration of document which
satisfies both sides and reflects the principles of territorial
integrity and self-determination. Bryza said that he didn't agree with
the thoughts about uselessness of negotiations held on the settlement
of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. According to the diplomat, the Minsk
Group's US co-chair Robert Bradtke informed him about the progress in
the negotiation process: `The progress was achieved towards the
agreement on basic principles mostly'.
Bryza left Dashkasan for Ganja, which will be last stop on his tour to
Azerbaijani regions.
