    Events dedicated to the 66th anniversary of the Victory in the Great
    patriotic War, the 19th anniversary of Shoushi liberation and the
    NKR Defense Army Day took place at Yerevan's Victory Park.

    Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan, Prime
    Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Ministers,
    MPs, veterans of the Great patriotic and Artsakh Wars participated
    in the festivities.

    After the national anthems of Armenia and Russia were played, the
    attendees respected the memory of the killed with a minute of silence.

    It was followed by a military parade. Afterwards the officials and
    veterans had a lunch at a "field kitchen"

    "The spirit of victory becomes tangible here, when you communicate
    with veterans, with people who have passed through the war. When
    we speak about victory, we should emphasize the importance of unity
    between the people and the authorities. We should always rely upon
    ourselves and should develop our economy and army," Speaker of the
    national Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan stated.

    "The families of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the
    freedom fighters of Artsakh should be in the focus of our attention.

    We must do our utmost to solve their social, economic, and other
    problems,"PM Togran Sargsyan told reporters.
