Great was the contribution of the Armenian people to the Victory in
the great Patriotic War: 600 thousand Armenians participated in the
war, 300 thousand fell on the battlefield. Armenia had more than 100
Heroes of the Great Patriotic War and four marshals.
First Secretary of The Central committee of the Communist Party of
Armenia Ruben Tovmasyan regrets that we remember veterans only during
the festive events of May 9.
"They face a number of problems throughout the year. It's necessary
to properly honor the courage and feats of those who saved both the
world and little Armenia.
