and Peace Day.

dined with the war veterans in the park.
The veterans shared their problems with the officials, saying in the
meantime that they want to see Armenia in peace.
"We do not want the youth to experience the bitterness of war,"
they said.
Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan said the country's leadership is doing its
utmost to reduce veterans' problems to a minimum.
"We must do all our best to ensure normal living conditions for
people. They have done everything possible to overcome difficulties
and hold victory in the war, and today we owe to them. We must do
our utmost to make the final days of their lives prosperous," he said.
Abrahamyan stressed the importance of becoming unanimous.
"Our people must be unanimous and tolerant to ensure our success in
future," he added.
He also called on the authorities to join efforts, relying on the
people and the Armenian army.
"We have arrived at the thought that we must rely on our people; we
must develop economy and strengthen the Army to ensure the country's
peace," Abrahamyan said, stressing the importance making the 2012 and
2013 parliamentary and presidential elections "free and transparent".
