    SCR PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO VETERANS OF RAILWAY ON VICTORY DAY

    CJSC "South-Caucasian Railways" (SCR) in connction with 66th
    anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War and for many years
    of diligent work in railway provided assistance to 59 railway
    workers-veteran.

    "On May 9 we celebrate the Victory in Great Patriotic War that unites
    all generations. It is a triumph of military and labor heroism of our
    nation liberating their homeland and Europe from Nazi invaders. It is
    a victory of unbending will and fortitude in fighting with the enemy",
    said SCR General Director Shevket Shaydulin.

    He expressed his gratitude towards the veterans for their tireless work
    in the field of patriotic education of youth. "Our younger generation
    deeply feels unbreakable inner connection with the generation of
    veterans, those who selflessly worked all their lives for the benefit
    of strengthening of our country without changing their beliefs and
    principles, keeping in mind the hot fire of patriotism", he said.

    SCR allocated 50 thousand drams to all the veterans.

    During the Great Patriotic War, railroad workers, including Armenian,
    carried 20 million wagons with soldiers and cargo - ammunition,
    combat equipment and food supplies. From 1941 to 1945, railroad
    workers restored 120 thousand km of railways, 13 thousand small and
    about 3 thousand large bridges. In spring 1942 armored train No.701
    "Soviet Armenia" was built by the funds collected by the workers.

    CJSC "South-Caucasian Railway" is a 100% subsidiary of OJSC "Russian
    Railways" implementing concession management of CJSC "Armenian
    Railways" according to the Concession Agreement signed on February 13,
    2008. Term of the concession is 30 years with the right of extension
    for another 10 years.
