ITALIAN BUSINESSMEN INTERESTED IN INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN ARMENIA

Italian businessmen are interested in investing in Armenia, the head
of Italy's Friuli-Venecia-Julia province Renzo Tondo has said.
At a meeting with Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Tondo
represented the businessmen - included in the Italian delegation -
who are interested in investment opportunities in Armenia.
According to a press release by Armenia's government, Tondo said that
the Italian delegation came to Armenia in an attempt to strengthen
and develop the existing ties with Tavush region.
Further, the parties discussed issues related to the future deepening
of Armenian-Italian relations.
Tigran Sargsyan briefed them about Yerevan's Institute of Physics,
as well as the plans to build a new institute of accelerators and a
tumor centre based on that institute.
Sargsyan also said that the Italian businessmen can cooperate with
Armenia's Institute of Physics, State Committee of Science and
Armenia's National Competitiveness Foundation.
They also discussed issues related to cooperation in the fields of
agriculture, furniture production, architecture, textile industry
and waste recycling and waste management.
