EXPERT: AZERBAIJAN TREATS PEOPLE ON GROUNDS OF RACE

Director of Caucasus Institute, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan
said that sometimes "cave and aboriginal" attitude towards policy
is observed in our region. People, including journalists and even
politicians, treat other persons based on share of some nation's
blood in them, like was the case in 1930s.
"Sergey Buntman indeed says that his grandfather is Armenian, but
the father of Philip Kirkorov, who was cordially received in Baku,
is also Armenian," Iskandaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter,
commenting on the supposed inclusion of journalist of Echo of Moscow
Sergey Buntman in the black list of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry,
if the latter visits Nagorno Karabakh.
According to Iskandaryan, articles stating that major part of the
Azerbaijani elite is of Armenian origin are published from time
to time.
"The fact that Buntman refrained from discussing the topic with an
Azerbaijani journalist is rather understandable, since it is improper
to address similar questions to people," noted Iskandaryan.
Vesti.az Azerbaijani news agency reported that deputy editor-in-chief
of Echo of Moscow Sergey Buntman will pay a working visit to Nagorno
Karabakh. Azerbaijani journalists are indignant over the fact that
Buntman's grandfather is an Armenian from Karabakh, while, Buntman
will arrive in Karabakh without "asking Baku's permission."
