YEREVAN. Armenia recognizes 12 points for crossing the state border
for railway, road, air and other communications. The decision will
be discussed during May 12 governmental session.
Six of these points are on the Armenian-Georgian border. They are
"Bavra" (Ninotsminda), "Gogavan" (Guguti), "Privolnoye" (Akhkepri),
"Ayrum" (Sadakhlo), "Jiliza" (Operti) and "Bagratashen" (Sadakhlo).
There are two points on the Armenian-Turkish border, namely "Margara"
(Alican) and "Ahurik" (Akyaka), but they do not operate. Another
checkpoint "Agarak" (Norduz) operates on the border with Iran.
Armenia's airports Zvartnots, Erebuni and Gyumri also have their
border-crossing points.
