The Glendale Memorial Hospital plans to open a medical center in
Armenia, which will become the Armenian branch of the American
    hospital.

The Glendale Memorial Hospital is ranked among the top 50 American
hospitals. It is part of the CHW Medical Foundation, which includes
    another 41 medial institutions.

According to Berdj Djambazian, member of the Board of Directors of the
Glendale Memorial Hospital, their visit was aimed at familiarizing
with the healthcare situation in our country and discussing issues
connected with the establishment of a medical center in the future.

Members of the delegation have already held meetings at the Ministry
of Healthcare and have found out which are the most widely spread
diseases in he country. It is expected to open the branch of the
Glendale Memorial Hospital in Yerevan and a children's medical
center in Gyumri. Besides, modern diagnostic centers will be opened
    in different marzes.

The first steps in that direction will be taken within the coming two
months. The Armenian side has provided land for the construction of
    the medical complex in Yerevan.

The Mayor of Glendale, Ara Najarian, emphasized the importance of
the expected entry of the Glendale Memorial Hospital to Armenia,
noting that the best doctors in Los Angeles are Armenians.

The city hospital will be reconstructed in Kapan, a sister-city of
    Glendale, Mr. Najarian said.

Touching upon the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the US,
the Mayor criticized President Barack Obama for the failure to fulfill
his campaign pledge. "Obama deceived us," he said.

Despite that, Obama has good chances to be reelected at the next
    presidential elections, the Mayor stated.
