The Alexander Spendiaryan house-museum will be reconstructed. Director
of the house-museum Marine Otaryan said at a news conference today
that this cultural institution has not been reconstructed for over
25 years. According to her, the reconstruction works will start from
June and will end in late 2011. "After it the museum will be closed
for a while to form the permanent exposition", the director said.
Marine Otaryan said besides reconstruction, the museum faces issue of
forming new permanent exposition. "Today's exhibited samples are old
and we cannot be presented to the public in that way", she stressed,
adding that the creative heritage of the composer must be compiled
and be presented to the public in harmony with old and new technology.
She said financial means for doing it are not enough, besides it is
necessary to have bright imagination, creative mind and apply European
experience. "After the reconstruction we will have all this", she said.
