"THE FAMILY, THE SCHOOL AND THE CHURCH SHOULD PROVIDE THE CONTEXT FOR OUR
    CHRISTIAN LIFE"

The pontifical visit of His Holiness Aram I to the Armenian community began
with Canonical Prayers at the St. Vartanants Armenian Orthodox Church.

At the end of the service, His Holiness addressed the community. In his
introduction he said that the main purpose of his visit was to preside over
the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Armenian School in Kuwait,
and to congratulate them for their effort to keep this important institution
running for all these years. He then informed the people that he would be
    visiting the Emir to
thank him for his positive attitude towards the community. The Catholicos
also thanked Archbishop Gorun Babyan for his many years of service as
Pontifical Vicar, and introduced Bishop Shahé Panossian as their new Vicar
for the Diocese of Kuwait and the Gulf Countries.

In his message, Catholicos Aram I said that the Armenian community will
remain strong through the family, which is the 'little church' the school,
which carries the vision of building community, and the church, which is the
source of spiritual enrichment and the seal of identity of the Armenian
people. Therefore, all Armenians should organize their lives around these
    three pillars.

At the end of the ceremony, His Holiness Aram I greeted the people and
    blessed them personally.
