YEREVAN. - International mediators think that Armenia's recognition
of Nagorno-Karabakh independence would lead to collapse of peace
process and renewal of hostilities said expert of international law
Andreas Ghukasyan on Thursday at Armenian Centre for National and
International studies.
"Although Armenia keeps stressing that it stands for peaceful
resolution of the conflict, Azerbaijani side continues exploiting the
concept of war renewal. The situation is not likely to change until
the unity of Armenia and NK in one state body is not legalized.
Indeed, Armenia and NK are united at present, but this process needs
to be legalized," Ghukasyan added. "Search for fresh means of conflict
resolution is one of the challenges of our time."
