BOOK EXHIBITION-FAIRS TO BE HELD IN PROVINCES

Book exhibitions will be conducted in a number of provinces of
the Republic. Executive director of the "National Association of
Publishers" Vahan Khachatryan told Armenpress that within the
framework of "Support to Book and Reading" program, soon book
exhibition-fairs will be conducted in Goris, Gyumri, Vanadzor,
Armavir. Over 25 publishers will participate in the event presenting
their best books of the past years. Besides book exhibitions, other
events are also intended. Khachatryan said they want to create a book
holiday in provinces. Meetings with writers, book presentations will
be held. Meetings with representatives of libraries, book donations
are also expected.
Book exhibition-fair has already been conducted in the provinces
of Kotayk, Ararat. Khachatryan said unexpected results have been
registered.
"The event rose great interest among the people", he said, adding
that different events are often being organized in the capital but
it is necessary to involve provinces as well.
