THE BILINGUAL EDITION OF ARMENIA'S RED BOOK PRESENTED IN YEREVAN

The bilingual edition of the first Red Book having a legal status was
presented at the Armenian National Academy of Sciences today. The
event was attended by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Minister of
Environmental Protection Aram Harutyunyan, President of the National
Academy of Sciences Radik Martirosyan, representatives of scientific
institutions and international organizations.
The second edition of the Armenian Red Book includes 452 plants,
40 mushrooms and 308 animals.
According to the Minister of Environmental Protection Aram Harutyunyan,
for the first time the rare and endemic mushrooms and invertebrates
of Armenia were included in the Red Book.
The edition is a result of long work and can play a great role in
preparing specialists, and help them in their everyday activity,
President of the National Academy of Sciences Radik Martirosyan said,
in turn.
With its quality and content the Red Book is of great scientific
value and is available to different layers of society and foreign
specialists.
