HRAPARAK: 'WEST' DEMANDS ARMENIA SHOULD GET RID OF MPS ASSOCIATED WITH CRIMINAL WORLD
Tert.am
25.05.11
The paper claims it has learned that "the West" has clearly demanded
from the Armenian leadership that no individuals associated with the
criminal world get in the next parliament.
"This request had been formulated a while ago and is repeated
occasionally during the meetings with the Armenian leadership.
Otherwise, the West may question the fairness of the election,"
the paper says.
However, this puts the Armenian leadership "in a tough position as
there is no shortage of MPs associated with the criminal world in the
[ruling] Republican Party of Armenia and the Prosperous Armenia Party,"
the paper comments.
