YEREVAN. - Ruling Republican Party should bear responsibility
for socio-economic crisis, said ARF Dashnaktsutyun member Armen
Rustamyan during discussions of ARFD initiative on passing a vote of
no confidence in the government.
He stressed that the basis for such an initiative is that the Armenian
government failed to provide pre-announced socio-economic standards,
curbing inflation and increase in number of migrants.
The MP noted that many of current parliament members used to be
ministers and heads of departments in the government and share the
responsibility. Rustamyan stressed that they should abandon politics
after leaving such heritage.
Rustamyan added the government also should resign for its failures.
Political course pursued by the government will further deteriorate
social situation in the country, said head of ARFD parliamentary
group Vahan Hovhannisyan.
Finance Minister Vache Gabrielian blamed the international economic
crisis for the situation in Armenia. However, Gabrielian agreed that
Armenia's economy is far from being in a great state.
