WINE PRODUCERS PROMISE TO PAY OFF OUTSTANDING DEBTS TO FARMERS

YEREVAN, May 27. / ARKA /. Armenian wine producers will pay off their
debts to farmers for last year's purchase of grapes, the ministry of
agriculture said today in a press release.
According to the ministry, Armenian wineries purchased last year
16.789 billion drams worth grapes and so far have paid off 16.741
billion drams.
"The outstanding debt is 39.5 million drams, of which 36 million drams
is the debt of Great Valley winery, 1.5 million drams is the debt of
Areni Wines company and 2 million drams is the debt of Arpa Alco.
Chief executives of these companies assured the ministry that the
debts will paid off until June 15. ($ 1 - 377.6 drams).
