The first sitting of the commission set up to coordinate the events
dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will take
place May 30, Edward Nalbandian said at the "Prospects of Diaspora
in the Globalizing World" international two-day conference.
The commission was set up with the decree of the Armenian president
to promote the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide
and coordination of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary.
The leader of the country assigned a number of ministries to form
the nominative staff of the advisory group of the commission. With
it is it planned to ensure the engagement of cultural, educational,
scientific figures in the process of international recognition.
