Future bloc MP Khaled Daher on Monday said that the Tashnaq Party is
"endorsing Syrian problems in Lebanon," a reference to the reports
that the Tashnaq is allegedly "kicking out" Syrian Kurds living in
Bourj Hammoud.
"I do not know if Tashnaq is seeking [to trigger] an Armenian-Kurdish
war in Bourj Hammoud," the National News Agency quoted Daher as saying.
"With what right does a Lebanese party take a decision [to kick]
people [out from where they live]?"
Daher called on the Lebanese authorities to "forbid such crime against
the Syrian Kurds."
Future News television quoted on Saturday Syrian Kurdish people as
saying that a Tashnaq-related group informed Syrian Kurdish families
living in Bourj Hammoud "of the importance to evacuate their rented
houses in the area."
However, the Tashnaq party, which is allied to Syrian President
Bashar al-Assad, said that the issue is "related to the reorganizing
of the area."
