"The assaults of the Azerbaijan against the right of the people of
Nagorno Karabakh to self-determination resulted in destructions,
deportation and aggression, and today Azerbaijan continues preparing
for war by disseminating hatred towards Armenia and Armenians,"
Armenian Ambassador Karen Nazaryan said speaking at the discussions in
the UN General Assembly on "The right of peoples to self-determination"
and "Elimination of racism, racial discrimination and other forms
of intolerance."
Referring to the reports of international structures on racism,
Ambassador Nazaryan called the attention of the attendees to the
fact that Baku has proclaimed the dissemination of hatred towards
Armenians as its state propaganda.
Karen Nazaryan noted that to conceal that unacceptable behavior
Azerbaijan continues spreading false reports, speeches and reports.
According to him, the expressions and forms of racial discrimination
endanger the process of establishment of an atmosphere of trust, and
therefore hinder the process of settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
