ARMENIAN POLICE CHIEF SURPRISED WITH OWN DISMISSAL

Armenian Police Chief Alik Sarkisyan said that he had no official
information on his dismissal, News Armenia reports.
Media reported on his dismissal earlier. He was replaced by Deputy
Defense Minister Vladimir Gasparyan, who had been heading the Military
Policy of Armenia for a long time.
Sarkisyan noted that he had met President Serzh Sargsyan and reported
on the situation as usual. He added that he is unaware about the
source of such rumours on his dismissal.
Sarkisyan may become Vice-Premier, Minister for Territorial
Administration, replacing Armen Gevorkyan, or become deputy head of
Presidnetial Administration.
The Ministry for Territorial Administration denied the rumours.
