HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST RAGIP ZARAKOLU, WHO HAS RECOGNZIED ARMENIAN GENOCIDE, ARRESTED IN ISTANBUL

Ragip Zarakolu, owner of Belge Publishing House, was arrested
yesterday in Istanbul. He is a well-known human rights defender,
who has recognized the Armenian Genocide. He was among the 50 persons
arrested as a result of the actions taken by Turkish security bodies
against "Kurdish Associations Union", which is considered the urban
wing of the Kurdistan Labor Party.
Belge Publishing House of Ragip Zarakolu has published numerous books
on the Armenian Genocide. The last visit of the famous human rights
activist to Yerevan was in February, 2011.
