PRESENTATION OF A BOOK "ON THE OTHER SIDE OF ARARAT: DECODING TURKEY" HELD IN YEREVAN

    Mediamax, Armenia
    Nov 2 2011

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The presentation of the book "On the other side
of Ararat: decoding Turkey" by specialist in Turkish studies Artak
Shakaryan was held in Yerevan yesterday.

The author said at the presentation that the manual-book is designed
for journalists writing about Turkey, specialists in oriental studies
    and historians, Mediamax reports.

According to Artak Shakaryan, during the process of "football
diplomacy" between Armenia and Turkey it became clear that it's
necessary to teach the journalists on this subject.

The book contains extracts about Armenia and South Caucasus from the
monograph of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu - "Strategic
    depth".

"The publication of the book is an attempt to explain and to analyze
the principles of Turkey's current policy. From the point of view of
"real politics", the minimal agenda of the Turkish foreign policy
is to preserve the territorial integrity, and the maximal one -
territorial acquisitions and further expansion," Artak Shakaryan said.

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia financed the publication of the book.
