US AMBASSADOR THANKED ARMENIA FOR PEACEKEEPING MISSION IN KOSOVO, AFGHANISTAN

Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan accepted today
newly-appointed US Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern today, press
service of Armenian Ministry of Defense informs about this.
Armenian Minister congratulated Mr. Ambassador on the nomination and
noted that he was sure Mr. Heffern would assist Armenian-US relations
to be expanded during his diplomatic mission. S. Ohanyan also supposed
cooperation on defense sphere would be developed.
US Ambassador thanked for congratulations and noted that American side
rated Armenian peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Ambassador also noted the American side was ready to assist reforms
which are held in Armenian Army.
Some other issues of bilateral interest were discussed during the
meeting as well.
