ANTI-TRUST COMMITTEE FILES ADMINISTRATIVE LAWSUITS AGAINST JUICE IMPORTERS AND EXPORTERS

The State Committee for Protection of Economic Competition has made
a decision to file administrative lawsuits against several companies
dealing with the export and import of natural juices.
After conducting studies on the market, the Committee found serious
violations. Juices marked as sugar-free drinks appeared to contain
sugar additives. Certain other juices turned out to be made of
cheaper fruits.
The "100% natural juice" mark did not always fit the label inscription
as very often such juices turned out to contain a large quantity of
water and artificial components.
The companies had thus attempted to gain competitive advantages on
the market, violating the fair competition rules.
