OBITUARY: MARY HAMPARIAN (1927-2011)

Mary "Manooshag" Aljian Hamparian was born on March 28, 1927. She was
the loyal daughter of Armenian Genocide survivors Nishan and Zevarte
Aljian, the loving husband of Ardashes Hamparian, the devoted mother
of Lorig, Aram, and Raffi, the proud grandmother of Mher, Aram, Areni,
Zabelle, Sune, Meghri, and Ardashes, and the caring sister of Thomas,
Janet, Doris, and Diane.
She was a proud daughter of the Armenian nation, a fierce advocate
for truth, and a tireless defender of justice who, with her husband
Ardashes, raised a faithful family devoted to the Armenian Cause and
the proposition that all peoples have a right to sit as equals among
the family of nations.
Mary passed away on Oct. 30, 2011. Wake and Viewing Services will be
held on Wed., Nov. 2, from 7-9 p.m. (with the service at 8 p.m.) at
Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 461 Bergen Blvd. in
Ridgefield, N.J. Funeral Church Services will be held on Thurs., Nov.
3 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church,
immediately followed by burial service at
G. Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, N.J. It will be presided by
His Eminence Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan, the Prelate of Armenian
Apostolic Church Eastern United States.
Upon the request of the family, in lieu of flowers donations may be
made to the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), 1711 N
Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20036.
May the Lord illuminate the soul of our beloved Mary in heavenly lights
and to you all may God grant the consolation of His Holy Spirit. Amen.
