Epress.am contacted Pan-Armenian National Movement (HHSh) chair,
Armenian National Congress (HAK) member Aram Manukyan for comments
on the successive resignations among high-ranking Armenian officials
that began late last week.
"When there's danger on the ship, mice and rats jump ship. There's
panic in their team; they're trying to find people in their team to
blame for the failures; the team is cracking... At the last rally too
[HAK leader] Levon Ter-Petrossian said that it's not excluded that
it will turn into a ruckus," he said.
In Manukyan's opinion, the process of finding and punishing the guilty
among the ruling administration is occurring at a rapid rate.
The current situation provides wide opportunities for the opposition's
future activities, he added.
Recall, in the past week Yerevan mayor Karen Karapetyan, RA Police
Chief Alik Sargsyan and National Assembly Chair Hovik Abrahamyan have
either resigned or been dismissed from their posts.
