THERE IS MUTUALLY CREDITABLE POLITICAL DIALOGUE BETWEEN ARMENIA AND POLAND

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration
Armen Gevorgyan, who is in Poland on a working visit, met today in
Warsaw with Poland's Minister of Territorial Administration Elizabeta
Bienkpvskaya. Public Relations Department of RA Ministry of Territorial
Administration told Armenpress that the parties expressed gratification
on Armenian-Polish interstate regular relations, noting that there is
a high level of mutually creditable political dialogue between the
two countries. It was noted that the centuries-long friendship and
cooperation of the two countries lay a good basis for comprehensive
development of interstate relations and expansion of cooperation in
all directions.
Both parties noted that the volume of the current trade turnover
does not satisfy the parties. It was simultaneously registered that
a good legal-agreement basis is formed for realization of the current
potential. Importance was attached to the work of the Armenian-Polish
Intergovernmental Committee on Economic Cooperation, within the
framework of which the prospects of implementation of mutually
profitable programs are discussed. Warsaw-Yerevan flight implemented by
Polish LOT airline will promote activation of bilateral contacts, too.
Referring to EU Eastern Partnership program, the Deputy Prime Minister
stressed that it moves the cooperation between Armenia, EU and
members states of the structure to a new platform. Highly assessing
the important contribution and role of Poland to this program, he
expressed hope that during Poland's presidency a progress will be
registered in relations with Eastern neighbors.
The interlocutors attached importance to establishment and development
of direct contacts between the regions of the two countries, and
pointed out the need for enhancement of economic ties between them. It
was noted that there is an experience of cooperation in that sphere.
The expansion of cooperation between Yerevan and Warsaw was
highlighted.
