IRELAND SUPPORTS RUSSIA'S EFFORTS TOWARD NK CONFLICT SETTLEMENT

In 2012 Ireland will assume the chairmanship of the OSCE. Ahead of
the event Ireland intensifies the diplomatic efforts in the region.
November 7 the visit of the Foreign Minister of Ireland Eamon Gilmore
to Russia will launch. Ahead of the visit he wrote an article in
"Komersant" where he particularly highlighted Russia's role in the
Karabakh conflict settlement process.
"Russia is an important member of the OSCE and has active role in the
organization. President Dmitry Medvedev and Foreign Minister Sergey
Lavrov worked a lot toward the settlement of the conflict. I fully
support their efforts," Gilmore said.
