The paper says it has learned from sources that the National Assembly
speaker, Hovik Abrahamyan, was offered to become the chief of the
ruling Republican Party's campaign headquarters several months ago.
But he reportedly declined the offer in an attempt to find out what
he would get in return.
The papaer further says that in case the Republican ensures a political
majority in parliament President Serzh Sargsyan will offer the prime
minister's post to Abrahamyan.
