PanARMENIAN.Net - Prosperous Armenia coalition party has a larger
electorate than the rest of Armenian political forces, a party
member said.
As Vardan Bostanjyan told a press conference in Yerevan, one may infer
that under equal conditions Prosperous Armenia must enjoy a larger
electorate. When asked if the same can be said about the Republican
Party of Armenia (RPA), Mr. Bostanjyan refused to draw parallels.
On February 17, RPA, Prosperous Armenia and Orinats Yerkir leaders
President Sargsyan, Gagik Tsarukyan and Artur Baghdasaryan signed a
political coalition memorandum.
The parties agreed not to increase representation in future parliament,
endorse RPA leader President Sargsyan~Rs candidacy in 2013 presidential
elections.
However, recently rumors have been floated in Armenian media regarding
a conflict between RPA and Prosperous Armenia with the latter unwilling
to back President Sargsyan~Rs candidacy in coming elections.
