DVIN - CAPITAL CITY BETWEEN ASIA AND EUROPE EXHIBITION OPENS IN ITALY

ROME. - Dvin - a Capital City between Asia and Europe exhibition opened
in Navona square in Rome on Tuesday. The exhibition is implemented
within the frameworks of the Silk Road project by the Rome City Hall
and is organized by Armenian Ministry of Culture and History Museum
devoted to 20th anniversary of Armenia's Independence.
Italian MPs, Ambassadors, representatives of art and culture and
Armenian community participated in the opening ceremony, Armenian
MFA press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. Head of the cultural
heritage department of Rome City Hall Umberto Broccoli and Armenian
Ambassador to Italy Ruben Karapetyan officially opened the exhibition.
"Italians can proudly state that Armenian and our culture is a united
culture," Brocolli said and praised Armenians' contribution in the
world civilization, particularly architecture, music and miniature
spheres.
Armenian Ambassador believes that the exhibition is a great chance for
many Italians and foreign tourists to get acquainted with Armenia's
history and Armenians' spiritual, cultural life. The exhibition will
be open till January 29, 2012.
