ARMENIAN REGULATOR WANTS ACCESS TO SECRET INFORMATION AT SRC

Armenian State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition
(SCPEC) wants to have access to the secret information at the State
Revenue Committee (SRC), the commission's chairperson has said.
The SCPEC Chairperson Artak Shaboyan raised the issue at the cabinet
meeting on Thursday, saying that very often the commission needs such
information but has no rights to obtain it.
Therefore, the procedure needs changing, Shaboyan said, as he unveiled
the draft decision.
"Very often it is necessary to have information about entrepreuners'
activities, scales of their turnover. The information is at the
taxing bodies, but the commission has no right to receive it,"
explained Shaboyan.
State Revenue Committee Chairperson Gagik Khachatryan asked two days
to discuss the issue with the SCPEC.
