VLADIMIR KAZIMIROV: LEADERSHIP OF 1NEWS.AZ HAS ALREADY PROVED THAT IT IS UNABLE TO OBSERVE JOURNALISTIC ETHICS

The former Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, the first deputy
chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats, Vladimir Kazimirov,
replied to the editor-in-chief of 1news.az Rahman Gajiyev regarding
the regular libel of the "honored journalist" of Azerbaijan Tatyana
Chaladze.
Here is the text of the letter of the Russian diplomat sent to Arminfo.
Dear Mr Gajiyev, I have read the article of the "honored journalist of
Azerbaijan" Tatyana Chaladze "Mask batteries" published on 5 November
2011 at 1news.az web site. It is like a hint which you made in August
of the current year about your readiness to make my PR in your own
way. Anyway, I think this article would not be published without your
permission. Incidentally, it was published having no link with the
current affairs. It is not a reply to any my publication, but simply
the "Mask batteries" as the author said.
I am not going to moralize around this publication, it is senseless,
as the leadership of 1news.az has already proved that it cannot
observe the journalistic ethics, publish not only contradictions but
also explanations. If you have shortage of such an elementary manhood
(in the Caucasus!), you put a woman forward under the fire, thinking
that not everybody will start coming down upon representatives of
the fair sex.
For this reason, I would only say that journalism including that of
1news.az, to put it mildly, still has mistakes and various assumption
and wrench. This is becoming a stigma of the portal headed by you.
Here are some "discrepancies" of T.Chaladze. Having forgotten what she
wrote above (that when arriving in Hungary in January 1954 Kazimirov
worked in Debretsen just for three days), referring to the fact that
the headquarters of the 8th Soviet army, headed by General Babajanyan
in 1956, was deployed in that town, she wrote: "There is no doubt
that they made friends with Babajanyan just there". Dear readers,
we made friends with the future marshal of the USSR just with a help
of Chaladze, though we were not acquainted with each other. Ask her,
why did she invented it? For greater certainty, especially that the
author says that "there is no doubt".
This is not the last fable. Then comes a fairy tale that allegedly
Arkadiy Volsky was "in the staff of the Soviet embassy" in Hungary
in 1956. Being an employee of this embassy from 1954 to 1959 I was
not aware of that. For this reason, (perhaps I was wrong) when first
met Volsky at the beginning of the 2000-s having finished by work
on Karabakh.
The reference of the author to my career history in the Hungarian,
Brazilian and Angolian events of different years says either about
exteriorly of judgments or direct ignorance.... The author of the
article says: "The work of several representatives of the USSR in
these countries was almost always linked with the armed revolt or
bloodshed". It means that a reader should understand that a revolt
in Hungary, a military coup in Brazil and a civil war in Angola for
many years were initiated by Soviet diplomats or at least their active
role. There we go!
Dear Mr Gajiyev, can a solid mouthpiece of mass media, having great
masses of readers, disseminate such a balderdash? Even if its author is
an "honored journalist". The deserts in disinformation and purposeful
slander are obvious, as well as the services with a purpose to trace
journalists which are undesirable for the top officials....
It is very much important for the reputation of your portal to raise
responsibility, truthfulness and exactitude when publishing articles.
Best wishes, V.Kazimirov.
