PSYCHOLOGIST ON ARMENIAN SOCIETY
Tert.am
13:54 16.11.11
At her meeting with journalists Nov.16, the psychologist Karine
Nalchajyan voiced the opinion that Armenians are tolerant toward
foreigners, even toward their enemies.
To substantiate her opinion, she referred to opinion polls conducted
in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
When society faces socio-economic problems, with elements of crisis,
people become egocentric, she said.
She pointed out signs of estrangement in Armenia's society.
One more sign is a higher number of acts of violence and crimes. Among
signs of intolerance are also social polarization, lack of equal
opportunities and charismatic leaders, and national inferiority
complex.
