2ND ALL-ARMENIAN CONFERENCE OF ARCHITECTS AND STRUCTURAL ARCHITECTS KICKS OFF

The 2nd All-Armenian conference of architects and structural architects
has been held at the National Institute Museum of Architecture today,
Nov. 15.
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Diaspora of Armenia
and All-Armenian Association of Architects and Structural Architects
(AAASA).
The conference kicked off with a sitting of the AAASA coordinating
council chaired by Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan.
Among the participants were Armenian Deputy Minister of Urban
Development Ruben Alaverdyan, AAASA Chairman, Chief Architect of
Yerevan Narek Sargsyan, Director of the National Institute Museum of
Architecture Ashot Grigoryan, architects and structural architects
from Armenia and from the Armenian Diaspora.
Minister Hakobyan reminded the participants of the all-Armenian
conference 'Armenian architecture and the 21st century', which was
organized by the Armenian Ministry of Diaspora, Apr. 21-24, 2009. That
was the first of the 24 all-Armenian conferences organized by the
Ministry of Diaspora and aimed at combining the potential of the
Armenian communities throughout the world.
The AAASA chairman presented a number of proposals for enhancing the
efficiency of partnership.
Ashot Grigoryan reported on the AAASA long-term activities. He report
was followed by speeches of the AAASA coordinating council members.
Vahe and Gohar Tutunjyan (Turkey) and Ashot Grigoryan (Armenia) were
elected AAASA coordinating council co-chairs. The sitting discussed
further programs.
