ARMEN ASHOTYAN COMMENTS ON REPORTS ON HIS BAN ON COOPERATION WITH TSARUKYAN FUND

Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Armen Ashotyan has
commented on the reports on his ban on cooperation with Gagik Tsarukyan
Fund. Some Mass Media reported earlier that Ashotyan charged the
rectors of Armenian higher educational establishments not to cooperate
with the Fund of Gagik Tsarukyan, Leader of Prosperous Armenia Party.
"We have received no offers of cooperation from Tsarukyan Fund this
year," the minister said in a press conference on November 16. He
said that the "response by most of the rectors" is logical since the
Ministry of Education and Science is the authorized agency and all
such issues must be coordinated with the ministry.
Mass media reported that Ashotyan intentionally allowed the above
leaks to favor the country's leadership and the Republican Party. Such
demarche fully fits the election race of the two coalition parties,
