Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Baconschi will pay
on Wednesday a working visit to Armenia at the invitation of his
counterpart Eduard Nalbandyan, the Foreign Ministry informs in a
release.During this trip, the Romanian chief diplomat will hold talks
with Minister Nalbandyan and will also be received by the Catholicos
of All Armenians, Karekin II.
The two Foreign Ministers will review the stage and perspectives
of bilateral relations, with focus on ways to strengthen political
dialogue and enhance economic as well as cultural-educational
cooperation, starting also from the added value represented by the
historical Armenian minority in Romania.
Also included on the agenda of the talks is an exchange of views on
regional developments, as well as on the prospects for a EU-Armenia
rapprochement that enjoys Romania's support and readiness to share
its own experience with the accession preparation.
