NSC SECRETARY ARTHUR BAGHDASARYAN MEETS RUSSIAN EMERGENCY MINISTER

Within the framework of the visit to Moscow, Secretary of the National
Security Council of Armenia Arthur Baghdasaryan had a meeting with
Sergey Shoygu, Russian Minister for Civil Defense and Emergency
Situations.
The parties discussed a broad range of issues related to the
cooperation in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency
situations. They agreed to work out an action plan for 2012-20113
with a list of measures targeted at the deepening of cooperation and
a timetable of their implementation.
Arthur Baghdasaryan next participated in a roundtable discussion on
"Armenia's cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security
Treaty Organization." Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO, Valery
Semerikov, hailed Armenia's active involvements in the CSTO activity.
Discussed were issues related to the preparation of the military
exercises of the CSTO Rapid Reaction Forces in Armenia in 2012.
