BRITISH DELEGATE TO PACE FINANCED DIRECTLY FROM AZERBAIJAN - ARMENIAN MP

YEREVAN. - British delegate to PACE Mike Henckok gets financed directly
from Azerbaijan and is involved in propaganda for Azerbaijan, said
chairperson of Parliament's standing committee on European Integration
Naira Zohrabyan at het meeting with UK Commonwealth and Foreign Office
official Joseph Gold.
Zohrabyan presented the process of Armenia's European integration. The
two sides discussed the problems that impede effective flow of the
process. At the request of the guest Zohrabyan reflected on a number
of issues related to the upcoming parliamentary elections and touched
upon the Electoral Code. She stressed the importance of active and fair
participation of international observers in the forthcoming elections.
In the context of Armenian-British relations Zohrabyan stressed the
important factor of British Petroleum. The MP said that despite 50%
of all investments in Azerbaijan fall on behalf of Britain, she hopes
for London's more balanced regional policy.
