PROGRESS IN RELAXATION OF VISA REGIME BETWEEN ARMENIA AND EU EXPECTED - EU OFFICIAL

YEREVAN.- Progress in relaxation of visa regime is expected in the
near future, said EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and
Security Policy Catherine Ashton.
"There is no delay in talks on relaxation of visa requirements,"
she told journalists during a joint press conference with Armenian
FM Edward Nalbandian.
Ashton stressed it is a long process adding there are many technical
issues.
"After technical problems are tackled the negotiation process will
become faster, therefore current difficulties should be considered
as prerequisite for the next stage," she said.
