Armenian refugees from Azerbaijan intend to found a new town in the
Nagorno Karabakh Republic - Bagaran.
Andreas Ghukasyan, the lawyer of the Assembly of Armenian Refugees
from Azerbaijan said in a press conference in Yerevan on Thursday that
refugees need a town, while rural restoration and settlement is in
the focus of attention of the NKR authorities. He said the Armenian
refugees from Azerbaijan have all the legal grounds to settle in the
territory of Karabakh.
According to the project, Ghukasyan said, the town will be built
on the funds of the refugees and will be designed for around 10,000
residents with at least 2,000 jobs. Ghukasyan said that around 3,5
bln dollars will be required at the first five years of construction.
According to the project, the town will be founded 30km from the
Iranian border, near Kubatlu.
