    College Corner: Author to discuss Armenian genocide

    CRANFORD - Union County College alumna and author Virginia Apelian
    will speak about her book `Musa Dagh Girl: Daughter of Armenian
    Genocide Surviviors' today at 2 p.m. in the Roy Smith Theater.

    Apelian's story tells of deportation, refugee camps and the historical
    background of the Armenians. The author emigrated from Lebanon to
    Paterson at the age of 12, and has been a psychologist/educator and
    assertiveness trainer and lecturer for 26 years.

    The talk is free and open to the public. The Roy Smith Theater is
    located on the UCC campus at 1033 Springfield Ave. in Cranford.
