Children of Armenia are revealing the art of Victor Vazareli and
creating to the music of Johan Sebastian Bach.
Children ranging from the ages of 5 to 11 today were introduced to the
creations of Hungarian artist Victor Vazareli within the framework of
the educational program called "Op-Art: Transformations of Color and
Form" organized at Cafesjian Center for the Arts.
"The program has been running on Tuesdays and Saturdays starting
September 9. The goal is to help children get in touch with art, learn
to tour museums, introduce them to Vazareli's art and awaken
creativity within them," Assistant to the Director of Program
Department at Cafesjian Center for the Arts Shushan Paramozyan.
Using the materials provided by the center and samples of Vazareli's
creations, the children painted and tried to see different geometrical
images.
"I have been coming and painting here for the sixth time now. This
time I painted a very abstract painting in blue and green," six-year
old Henri Bejanyan said.
Cafesjian Center also gives children the opportunity to participate in
the exhibitions of other artists and get acquainted with their works.
