Within the framework of the visit to the Netherlands Armenian
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with his Danish
counterpart Uri Rosenthal. The latter congratulated Edward Nalbandian
on the opening of the Armenian Embassy in the Netherlands, expressing
confidence that it will make a serious contribution to the development
    of bilateral ties.

Edward Nalbandian said the opening of the Armenian Embassy in Hague
is aimed at the further deepening, development and reinforcement
of bilateral relations. The Minister attached importance to the
intensification of the political dialogue between the countries and
    enhancement of the economic cooperation.

Minister Nalbandian underscored that Armenia rates high the support
of the Netherlands to the development of our country both in bilateral
format and within international financial institutions - the European
Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Monetary
    Fund and the World Bank.

The interlocutors touched upon the reforms implemented in Armenia. In
this context the Dutch Foreign Minister hailed the steps taken by
the Armenian authorities in that direction.

The Ministers exchanged views on the relations between Armenia and the
European Union, and the negotiations in the Eastern Partnership format.

The same day Minister Nalbandian attended the solemn opening ceremony
of the Armenian Embassy in Hague.

Noting that the Armenian-Dutch relations date back to the depth of
centuries, Minister Nalbandian voiced hope that the Embassy would play
an important role in the deepening of comprehensive relations between
the two friendly countries. Edward Nalbandian attached importance to
the role of the Armenian community, which serves as a unique bridge
    between the two peoples.

Edward Nalbandian later met with representatives of the local Armenian
organizations. He briefed the attendees on the priorities and the main
directions of Armenia's foreign policy and answered their questions.
