"The Armenian authorities have declared on many occasions that the fact
of the Armenian Genocide and the importance of its recognition and
condemnation have never been and will never be questioned," Armenian
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said in an interview with the Dutch
"De Volkskrant" daily.
"The Turkish Foreign Minister's statements on establishment of a
commission of historians to study the events of 1915 are attempts to
question the fact of recognition of the Armenian Genocide by France
and many other countries and international organization."
"It is nothing else but continuation of a dangerous denial policy.
French President made a clear statement on the point in Armenia,"
Nalbandian added.
As for Turkish Foreign Minister's assertions that that Turkish PM
Erdogan's letter addressed to ex-President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan
was left unanswered in 2005, Nalbandian said that a response was sent
and published on April 25, 2005.
"Both Turkey and the international community are well aware of the
content of the letter, except for several people, Davutoghlu among
them," Nalbandian concluded.
