Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan
received November 21 Deputy Secretary General of International
Telecommunication Union (ITU) Houlin Zhao. Press Secretary to Armenian
Minister of Transport and Communication Susanna Tonoyan told Armenpress
that the Minister expressed gratitude to the high-ranking guest for
supporting Armenia in the area of telecommunication.
Mr. Vardanyan pointed out the importance of establishment of an
internet availability center for people with visual disorders, which
will enable the latter to communicate with the outer world.
ITU Deputy Secretary General Houlin Zhao noted that in
telecommunication sphere Armenia has registered the most dynamic
development and results in CIS region. According to Houlin Zhao,
with its indexes this year Armenia has gone ahead Azerbaijan, China
and Thailand.
During the meeting programs on further cooperation were discussed
as well.
