LORIS TJEKNAVORIAN NEVER WORKED FOR GLENDALE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

YEREVAN.- Loris Tjeknavorian has never been in any way associated
with Glendale Philharmonic Orchestra, representative of Glendale
Philharmonic Orchestra told Armenian News-NEWS.am in an e-mail letter.
Earlier Armenia-based Aravot daily reported that "Glendale Philharmonic
Orchestra's Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Loris Tjeknavorian
recently resigned and returned to his place of birth, Iran".
The matter is Loris Tjeknavorian was artistic director and chief
conductor of the Glendale Symphony Orchestra in California, not
Glendale Philharmonic Orchestra.
"In 2010 Tjeknavorian was appointed Principal Conductor and Artistic
Director of the Glendale Symphony Orchestra in California," reads
the bio posted on Tjeknavorian's official website.
