ARMENIAN PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE TO INVESTIGATE ILLEGAL CUTTING OF 200 TREES

YEREVAN. - Armenian Chief Prosecutor's Office reacted to the article
and the photographs posted on Hetq website, on November 19.
And the Office's respective statement specifically reads:
"The article noted the illegal cutting of around 200 trees, at
Odzun-Arevatsag road section of the Lori Region, and the corresponding
agencies' not taking measures toward its prevention, recording,
and uncovering.
In connection with this incident, the Lori Regional Prosecutor
instructed the appropriate agencies to check the circumstances noted
in the article.
And if the circumstances are verified, a service investigation will
be launched against personnel of the police precinct serving the
aforesaid area, and the results will be submitted to those carrying
out the proceedings."
